Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our databases.
Responsibilities
- 1. Database Installation & Configuration – Setting up database management systems (DBMS) like SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL etc.
- 2. Performance Tuning & Optimization – Monitoring and improving database performance using indexing, query optimization, and resource allocation.
- 3. Backup & Recovery – Implementing robust backup strategies and disaster recovery plans to prevent data loss.
- 4. Security & Access Control – Managing user roles, permissions, and encryption to protect sensitive data.
- 5. Replication & High Availability – Ensuring data redundancy and failover mechanisms to minimize downtime.
- 6. Data Integrity & Consistency – Enforcing database constraints and normalization to maintain data quality.
- 7. Monitoring & Troubleshooting – Diagnosing and resolving database-related issues proactively.
- 8. Automation & Scripting – Writing SQL scripts, stored procedures, and automation tools for database maintenance.
- 9. Upgrades & Patch Management – Applying patches and updates to keep the database software secure and efficient.
- 10. Collaboration & Documentation – Working with developers, DevOps, and system administrators while documenting database policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, SSIS, and other database technologies
- Experience with database servers such as Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server
- Strong understanding of database design, normalization techniques, and data modeling
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems is a plus
- Ability to vaticinate potential issues and take proactive measures to prevent them
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to smash complex problems
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
