Overview

We are looking for an experienced and innovative Data Scientist to join our team and play a key role in leveraging data to solve complex business challenges. You will be responsible for applying advanced analytical methods, building machine learning models, and delivering actionable insights to drive strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

• Identify valuable data sources and automate data collection processes.
• Perform pre-processing of structured and unstructured data to prepare for analysis.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Develop and deploy predictive modelling techniques to forecast outcomes and inform business strategies.
• Design and implement machine learning algorithms, including supervised learning and unsupervised learning approaches.
• Utilize deep learning methodologies to address complex analytical challenges.
• Build and optimize ensemble models using techniques such as random forest and gradient boosting.
• Present insights and findings using data visualization techniques to communicate results effectively.
• Propose innovative solutions and strategies to solve business problems and enhance decision-making.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and product development teams to integrate data-driven solutions into projects.

Requirements and Skills

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst, with a strong foundation in predictive modelling and machine learning techniques.
• Hands-on experience with supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and advanced deep learning approaches.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, and SQL; familiarity with Scala, Java, or C++ is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop) and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau).
• Expertise in building ensemble models, particularly random forest and gradient boosting algorithms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a solid understanding of mathematics, including statistics and algebra.
• Effective communication and presentation skills to share insights with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required; a graduate degree in Data Science or another quantitative discipline is preferred.

Pay: Up to ?2,000,000.00 per year
