What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points

• Be the brains behind Uber’s Finance Data Store (FDS) – ensuring data integrity, reliability, and automation.
• Develop ML-powered financial models & forecasting algorithms to predict financial metrics
• Implement anomaly detection systems to proactively identify and resolve inconsistencies in financial data.
• Work closely with business teams (Finance, Product, Data Science, Operations, Engineering) to solve high-stakes financial challenges.
• Extract deep insights from complex financial datasets and drive data-driven decision-making.
• Design impactful dashboards & visualizations that provide real-time financial intelligence.
• Automate financial reporting pipelines—eliminating inefficiencies and manual work.
• Optimize and scale financial data workflows for cost savings and operational excellence.
• Be the go-to expert for everything related to financial data science at Uber.

---- Basic Qualifications ----

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Math, Stats, CS, Engineering, Economics, or related)
• 1+ years (M.S.) or 2+ years (B.S.) experience in Data Science, Analytics, or similar roles
• SQL expertise – ability to write complex queries for large-scale data analysis.
• Experience in data visualization & dashboarding (Tableau, Looker, or similar).
• Hands-on experience with financial data, reporting, and automation.
• Excellent storytelling skills – translating data into actionable insights for leadership

• Python/R expertise for advanced modeling and automation.
• Experience in financial modeling and forecasting
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques for anomaly detection & predictive analytics.
