Overview

JD - Data Science Engineering with Visualisation and Analytics

• Must have 1+ years of experience in Data Science + Engineering - specific roles.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience in data engineering/ digital product development
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala with a focus on digital product development and data processing
• Knowledge in database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data warehousing with an understanding of their application in the context of digital products
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data visualization tools
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights through effective data storytelling.
• Experience working within a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment, with an understanding of Agile principles and their application in large-scale projects.
• Openness to working in agile environments with multiple stakeholders, experienced in SAF methodologies
• Professional attitude and service orientation; team player with multi-national experience
• AWS certified in Data Engineering & Cloud or equivalent (optional)
• Experience with data modelling and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) (optional)

ResponsibilitiesData pipeline development

• Design scalable data pipelines using GMS/GQ-endorsed platforms, aligning with global standards for integration and architecture.
• Implement ETL/ELT processes, ensuring reusability, performance, and compliance with data governance to reduce black data.
• Standardize data integration processes, aligning local systems with global master data management practices, focusing on performance and scalability.
• Ensure data quality and compliance with global data governance standards through validation and error-handling mechanisms.

Data modelling and warehousing

• Develops and maintains use-case specific, yet scalable & reusable data models
• Collaborate with global teams to develop and refine data domain models, integrating local data driving effort automation and maturity of FAIR criteria
• Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and accessibility through close partnership with data stewards and adherence to global data standards.
• Lead harmonization efforts at site level, including data cleansing, to enhance data reliability and value.
• Support maintenance, bug fixing, performance analysis

Collaboration & Strategic Alignment

• Actively contribute and lead efforts to raising standards and best practices in data engineering through participation in communities of practice.
• Ensure site-specific data needs are planned, documented, and integrated into formal multi-year roadmaps in alignment with global strategies.
• Partner closely with developers to ensure proper data structuring & availability for new solutions, ensuring smooth integration into the data ecosystem.
• Champion data literacy and analytical thinking within the site
• Contribute to SAFe processes, supporting agile, efficient delivery of scalable data solutions across teams.
• Align site visualization and analytical needs through multi-year roadmaps
• Data Analysis & Insights
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights focused on site/ function priorities and needs leveraging GMS/GQ-endorsed platforms
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and data mining to uncover opportunities for process optimization and feature improvements.
• Perform A/B testing and statistical analysis to assess the impact of changes and features on digital products.
• Ensure data accuracy and reliability in all analysis activities through validation checks and collaboration with data engineers and GMS/GQ data ecosystem
• Visualization & Reporting
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports, delivering actionable near real-time insights and drive user engagement leveraging GMS/GQ-endorsed platforms.
• Create intuitive data visualizations and presentations that effectively communicate findings to stakeholders and support data-driven decision-making.
• Ensure data consistency and integrity across all visualizations, adhering to best practices and aligning with global data standards.

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
