Data Scientist

Job Description:

We are now looking for an experienced and qualified candidate with the main mission to work as Data Scientist.

Your main responsibilities in this role will be:

• As a Data Scientist, your mission is to leverage new technologies to drive digital transformation within the Division.
• By applying Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence, we aim to unlock the full potential of Epiroc's data, fostering innovative and data-driven business opportunities.
• You will collaborate within the internal Epiroc network to ensure that we stays updated with new tools and technologies.
• It's important that you are a result-oriented, self-motivated, and data-driven individual who sees challenges as opportunities.
• You should have a passion for data-related jobs and possess strong technical skills. You understand data handling, modelling, pipelining, and reporting techniques. Preferably, you also have a strong understanding of the business.

Experience requirements

• Relevant academic training in statistics, computer science, engineering, or another quantitative discipline.
• Strong analytical skills, including exploratory data analysis, hypothesis testing, and predictive modeling.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
• Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and tools.
• Business-level fluency in English.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud platform.
