Job Designation: Data Protection Engineer
Job Location: Gurugram, Chennai.

This position will be responsible for daily administrative tasks related to our clients Data Protection (Backup and DR) environments. This is an ideal position for an individual that is looking to gain more experience in the IT field.

Major Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and remediate backup and replication issues within our client base.
• Contribute towards backup audit processes to ensure the health of our clients backup/DR environments.
• Manage and respond to electronic alerts, notifications, and changes to client environments.
• Assist with Onboarding clients into our Managed Services related to Data Protection.
• Assist with recurring patch management related tasks to client backup/DR environments.
• Provide remote support.
• Provide internal IT Support as needed.
• Provide support during off hours.
• Documentation and article submission to the Knowledge Base.
• Create, update and complete tickets in a timely manner.
• Provide phone support as needed.
• Obtain certifications and/or maintain current certifications on various products offered.

Technology/Area of Specialization:

• Data Protection (Backup and Disaster Recovery), Data Center (Virtualization and Infrastructure), Windows Server Basic Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Must have administration experience with Backup software such as: Veeam, Avamar, Networker, Rubrik, Cohesity.
• Administration experience with Disaster Recovery technologies such as: Zerto, SRM, Cloud Endure
• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows OS 7 or higher.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Lync).
• Experience with Microsoft Servers OS 2008-2012 and Active Directory administration.
• Experience monitoring IT environments. o Configuring alerts o Responding to alerts and remediation.
• Experience administering cloud services.
• Ability to troubleshoot general networking issues (DHCP, DNS, etc.)
• Administration experience with mobile devices/Smartphones and tablets (iPad, Android, Blackberry, etc.)
• Experience with a managed services provider is a plus.
• Experience with Kaseya and/or ServiceNow is a plus.
