Overview
We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for data ingestion, transformation, and visualization, helping drive our data-driven decision-making process. The position requires a deep understanding of data engineering, collaboration with business stakeholders, and proficiency in ThoughtSpot, which is crucial for the role.
Your tasks
- Ingesting data from source systems (Python, Talend, etc.) and transforming it using the Data Vault methodology
- Building dashboards and data visualizations based on business requirements and DP schema
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure the data products align with expectations
- Participating in sprint planning, reviewing tasks, and presenting your work in sprint review meetings
- Contributing to retrospective meetings, providing feedback on what went well and areas for improvement
- Utilizing DataOne tools and technologies to support SSDI's long-term goals
Requirements
- Strong experience in data analysis and visualization with tools like Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Grafana
- Proficiency in data transformation with SQL/dbt
- Experience in managing stakeholder expectations for individual dashboards
- Knowledge of Data Vault 2.0 methodology
- Familiarity with Python, Talend, and other relevant technologies
- Expertise in ThoughtSpot is key to success in this role
