Job Description

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure data pipelines and workflows on GCP.
• Optimize and manage data processing frameworks using services like BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataproc.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and process structured and unstructured data.
• Implement and maintain data lakes and warehouses for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Mastery of SQL, especially within cloud-based data warehouses like Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse and Amazon Redshift
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Perform performance tuning and optimization of GCP resources.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to data pipelines and GCP services.
• Lead the adoption of cloud-native and serverless technologies for data engineering processes.
• Document solutions, workflows, and best practices for future reference.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, with 3+ years working on GCP-based solutions.
• Expertise in GCP services like BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Composer.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with SQL and query optimization for large datasets.
• Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing, and data lake architectures.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
• Knowledge of data governance, security best practices, and GDPR/CCPA compliance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
