What you’ll achieve
As a Senior Data Engineering Advisor, you will be responsible for developing technical tools and programs to automate the data management process, integrating medium to large structured data sets. You will have the opportunity to partner with Data Scientists, Architects or Businesses to design strategic projects and improve complex processes.We are seeking a skilled cloud data engineer with extensive experience in building and managing data pipelines in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment to join our Marketing forecasting
team.
You will:
- Drive data engineering projects to optimize processes, proactively monitoring and managing data design tenets ensuring data quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build assigned solutions, ensuring optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data
- Provide mentorship to junior Engineers and support onboarding for these new Engineers
Responsibilities:
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, aggregation, and reporting.
- Work with structured and semi-structured data formats such as CSV, JSON, XML, and Parquet.
- Collect, cleanse, transform, and validate data using Python/SQL to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Analyse and troubleshoot GCP BigQuery tables to maintain data quality and integrity.
- Design, schedule, and monitor data pipelines in Databricks using schedules and triggers. Collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders to define and optimize data models.

Essential Requirements
- 8 to 12 years of experience in the using data technologies to deliver cutting-edge business intelligence solutions
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, working on variety of platforms such as Databricks and Gcp
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python and Pyspark
- Good understanding of data structures (tabular, JSON, XML etc)
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data modeling. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Desirable Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
