Work Experience
Role and Responsibility Brief
- Analyze business requirements and create data visualizations using Power BI.
- Design and develop reports, dashboards, and scorecards to meet business needs.
- Create data models using Power BI's data modeling capabilities (DAX, M).
- Develop and maintain KPIs, metrics, and benchmarks.
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.
- Implement data governance and security best practices.
- Optimize report performance and data refresh times.
- Leads a project team of other data engineers to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS services for structured/unstructured data.
- Implement data quality checks, data validation, and data cleansing processes.
- Ensure data security, compliance, and governance.
- Writes and executes complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of data system or component; identifies and debugs, and creates solutions for issues with code and integration into data system architecture.
- Collaborates and communicates with project team regarding project progress and issue resolution.
- Provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members.
Work Experience
Must Have Skill
- Power BI experience is a must.
- Strong experience in programming languages and latest technologies such as Python, Spark, Scala.
- AWS cloud knowledge is must, candidate should have hands on experience on Kinesis, SQS, SNS, S3, Athena, EMR, Elastic Search, Quicksight, Redshift, Cloudwatch etc.
- Strong decision-making skills in terms of data analysis.
- Agile and scrum methodologies is a must to know.
- Engage with product manager to understand strategic requirements.
- Responsible for translating business requirements into technology.
- Experience with Power BI (Desktop and Service).
- Strong understanding of data modeling (DAX, M).
- Strong data engineering skills (data pipelines, data warehouses, data lakes).
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Scala, PowerShell).
- Fluent in complex, distributed and massively parallel systems.
- Strong understanding of database technologies and management systems.
- Strong understanding of cloud-based systems/services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to represent complex algorithms in software.
- Designing data systems/solutions to manage complex data.
- Fluent in NoSQL & relational based systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
Nice to Have Skill
- Good to have PowerBI Developer / AWS certification.
- Good to have Data Science, AI/Machine learning - pattern recognition, text mining, NLP, clustering for big data knowledge.
