Job Title: Data Engineer
Location: Bangalore (Hybrid)
Type: Contract
Rate: Open to discussion
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines, frameworks, APIs using best industry practices.
- Build and maintain robust data systems and quality monitoring processes.
- Drive innovation, mentor team members, and contribute your ideas and experience.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field.
- 8+ years of experience with strong hands-on skills in:
- Programming: Scala, Python (PySpark), Shell scripting
- Big Data & Processing: Kafka, distributed databases, data ingestion frameworks
- Cloud: GCP (GCS, DataProc, DPaaS, BigQuery, Hive)
- Orchestration: Airflow (preferred), Autosys, Automic
- SQL/NoSQL: Advanced SQL, query optimization
- Architecture: Exposure to Lambda Architecture
- CI/CD: Experience with DevOps/data pipeline deployment practices
- Visualization: Tableau, PowerBI, Looker (a plus)
- Solid understanding of CS fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for productivity and improving team efficiency.
