Overview:
Our client is looking for a skilled Data Engineer with strong experience in building data
warehouses and developing Power BI dashboards. The ideal candidate will have expertise
in data integration, data warehousing, and the development of data visualization reports.
The data will primarily be sourced from QuickBooks, Sugar CRM, and Excel/CSV files
provided by agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Warehouse Development:
o Design, implement, and manage a data warehouse to store data from
multiple sources (QuickBooks, Sugar CRM, Excel/CSV files).
o Ensure data is properly structured, cleaned, and integrated for efficient
storage and retrieval.
o Work closely with stakeholders to understand data needs and optimize the
data architecture.
o Set up ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to automate data ingestion
from QuickBooks, Sugar CRM, and other data sources.
2. Power BI Development:
o Develop Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize data and provide
actionable insights.
o Connect Power BI to the data warehouse to pull in relevant data for
reporting.
o Work with business users to understand reporting requirements and provide
ad-hoc support for dashboard creation.
o Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance and user
experience.
3. Data Integration and Management:
o Build and maintain data pipelines that automate data movement and
transformation processes.
o Cleanse and transform data to ensure high-quality and reliable data storage.
o Collaborate with data analysts and other team members to understand
business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
4. Collaboration and Stakeholder Communication:
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business
requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role with strong expertise in ETL,
data modeling, and data warehousing.
- Proficiency with Power BI and building interactive dashboards, reports, and
visualizations.
- Strong experience in integrating data from QuickBooks, Sugar CRM, and other
external sources like Excel/CSV files.
- Hands-on experience with SQL (preferably T-SQL) for querying and data
manipulation.
- Strong understanding of data structures, data storage principles, and cloud data
platforms.
- Experience with data transformation tools (e.g., SSIS, Data Factory) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Azure or AWS cloud platforms for data storage and processing is
desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in a
team environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data requirements
into actionable insights for business stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of QuickBooks and Sugar CRM APIs for seamless data integration.
- Experience in data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a related role.
