Job Description Summary:
What you need to know about the role- The candidate will be part of DAiS Data Storefront Service team , for data engineering. The candidate will be responsible for analysis, design, coding, and testing of the Data applications. The candidate may have to interact with global cross-functional teams . The individual should be self-motivated, possess creative problem-solving skills and have the ability to handle multiple deliverables at the same time. The candidate should have passion for data & analytics Meet our team : Operational Business Intelligence (OBI) charter includes: Single source of truth for certified KPIs to be used by all analysts, Data Scientists and stakeholders (BI users, SQL savvy analysts and data scientists) across the organization. The data and results are reconciled and are consistent across analytic tool sets and delivery methods. Data definitions are established and approved by Data Governance. OBI is the analytical platform where most of the business rules resides, and source data from foundational/transactional databases. There are many tracks within in OBI which caters data to multiple end users, which includes analysts, data scientists, leaders and many BI dashboards. There are different team within OBI which helps curate data for specific business use case and customers. Data driven analytics is key for a company, and PEAK team helps PayPal with Data for analysis, visualization and for actionable insights. OBI team helps with actionable insights not only from transactional data, but also with behaviour data. It helps company with various KPIs which

In this role, the individual will be responsible for.

• Participating and collaborating with cross functional teams in the organization to understand the business requirements and to deliver solutions that can scale.

What Do You Need To Bring-

• 1+ years of experience in the IT industry, experience in Data Technology space is preferred.
• Proficiency in any programming language like Java, Python, Scala, and Spark
• Working experience in any MPP systems, should have strong SQL programming skills.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts
• Working knowledge on Big Data, Streaming Integrations
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong analytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to take initiative to contribute beyond basic responsibilities.
• Knowledge of Hadoop, Spark, HBase and Hive is highly preferred.
• Knowledge on Cloud platforms is highly preferred.
• Desired Skills:
• Knowledge on Big data Environments and Cloud integration is a plus.
