Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support analytics and business intelligence needs.
- Build and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
- Develop data models, including logical, physical, and conceptual models, to support business requirements.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Implement data governance, data quality checks, and ensure data security best practices.
- Work with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) to manage data storage and processing.
- Automate data workflows and improve data pipeline performance and reliability.
- Monitor data pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize for efficiency.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, with strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Solid experience with data modeling techniques and database design principles.
- Proficiency in ETL tools and data integration techniques.
- Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake, etc.) is a plus.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and data orchestration tools (Airflow, Luigi).
