Job Description:

• We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures for commerce-driven data solutions. In this role, you will work with structured and unstructured data across multiple platforms, ensuring seamless data integration, security, and optimization for analytics, reporting, and commerce applications. You will collaborate closely with Data Architects, Analysts, and business stakeholders to drive efficient data management strategies in cloud and hybrid environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Apache Airflow, dbt, Talend, Informatica, and Fivetran to integrate multi-source commerce and transactional data.

• Build and optimize data models and data warehouses using AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, and Azure Synapse for product catalogs, order management, and customer insights.

• Implement row-level security (RLS), column-level security (CLS), and role-based access control (RBAC) to ensure secure data access and compliance with industry standards.

• Work with SQL, NoSQL, and Graph databases to support commerce-related datasets, including product attributes, pricing, inventory, and transaction data.

• Collaborate with business intelligence and analytics teams to enable real-time and batch data processing for dashboards, personalized recommendations, and operational reporting.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement data masking, encryption, and anonymization techniques for GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and SOC 2 compliance.

• Ensure seamless integration of PIM (Product Information Management), ERP, CRM, and Order Management Systems (OMS) for accurate data consistency.

• Optimize data storage, query performance, and transaction processing for large-scale commerce data solutions.

• Work with big data and streaming technologies like Apache Kafka, Spark, and Hadoop for real-time data processing and analytics.

• Conduct data quality assessments, monitoring, and performance tuning for data platforms.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data governance and master data management (MDM) strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, and cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark for data processing and automation.

• Hands-on experience with ETL tools (dbt, Airflow, Talend, Informatica, Fivetran) for building scalable data pipelines.

• Knowledge of data security, access control mechanisms (RLS, CLS, RBAC), and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA).

• Experience working with commerce-related data, including product catalogs, transactions, customer behavior, and pricing.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Familia rity with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Looker for data visualization and reporting.

• Experience integrating data across PIM, ERP, CRM, and OMS platforms.

• Strong understanding of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) for large-scale data processing.

• Cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Professional Data Engineer, etc.) are a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
