Data engineer

Overview

As a Data Engineer at Katyayani Organics, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and architectures that support our analytical and operational needs. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability and reliability of data for decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines to collect, process, and store data from various sources.
• Data Integration: Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and integrate data from multiple sources.
• Database Management: Develop and optimize database systems, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of data.
• Data Quality Assurance: Monitor data quality and implement processes to clean and validate data, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in data processing and storage.
• Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of data architectures, pipelines, and processes for internal reference and compliance purposes.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with data warehousing solutions and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
• Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
