Role Overview- Data Engineer

The Data Science team at Propheus is seeking Data Engineers to join us and make critical contributions to our research and development efforts. You will work closely with our team to build and deploy cutting-edge AI/ML models and systems that form the backbone of our product and solutions.

These are full-time onsite roles at our office located in Bengaluru.

Responsibilities

• Understand our business and research goals and contribute to the development of our product by actively participating in brainstorming, coding, testing, and debugging activities
• Develop data pipelines and workflows for data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and deployment
• Explore and analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights and identify patterns that can be leveraged for model development
• Review state-of-the-art research and experiment with different models, algorithms, architectures to build prototypes and test ideas at rapid pace
• Evaluate relevant open source technologies that align with the products’ goals and objectives, understand implementation challenges and propose solutions and improvements
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of research findings, implementation strategies, and integration processes

What we look for in Candidates

• Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or associated programs (Data Science, AI/ML etc.)
• 2 to 4 years of experience in data engineering.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure and familiarity with big data processing technologies such as Apache Spark is essential.
• Very high proficiency in Python (Particularly in Pyspark and Pandas).
• Understanding of common AI/ML libraries and frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Numpy, Scikit Learn etc. will be an advantage
• Experience working on Data Science problems for Retail and CPG companies will be an advantage
• A resourceful engineer willing to experiment and work in an early stage, ambiguous, fast-changing environment
• Excited to innovate and solve challenging problems from first principles
• Eager to learn and pick up whatever knowledge/skills required to get the job done

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,600,000.00 per year
