Role Summary & Role Description

Chief Data Office (CDO) - Global Technology Solutions at State Street has a mandate to govern and report on data health across the enterprise. CDO is rolling out multiple initiatives and operating model changes to execute these initiatives and generate value for our internal and external clients.

We are looking for a Data Engineer with 6-10 years of work experience with hands-on cloud data engineering experience. The candidate should have industry experience (preferably in Financial Services) in building either on-prem or cloud based data engineering platforms.

As a Data Engineer , You Will

• Design and develop high volume data ingestion components and solutions to collect data from various sources.
• Responsible for developing/implementing data pipelines and ETLs with any BigData platform.
• Participating in technical design, application build, configuration, unit testing, and production deployment.
• Preparation and maintenance of appropriate technical design documentation and diagrams
• Work with other teams for deployment, testing, training and production support
• Ensure that development, coding, privacy and security standards are adhered to at all times.
• Ownership in diagnosis and resolution of issues, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation to service owners.

Core/Must Have Skills

• Proficient in Python and SQL coding
• Exposure to Data Modeling and DB Design
• Hands on experience in setting up Data Pipelines for ETL jobs across multiple data sources.
  
  
  

Good To Have Skills

• Hands on experience with AWS Cloud Data Engineering with Databricks platform.
• Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps.
• Experience and strong knowledge of Cloud Security in AWS/Azure, specifically IAM Roles & Polices, Security Groups and Encryption keys.
• Strong skills in performance tuning, GIT, Jenkins, Airflow/Autosys/Control-M/Job Schedulers.
