Project description
Functions may include database architecture, engineering, design, optimization, security, and administration; as well as data modeling, big data development, Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) development, storage engineering, data warehousing, data provisioning and other similar roles. Responsibilities may include Platform-as-a-Service and Cloud solution with a focus on data stores and associated eco systems. Duties may include management of design services, providing sizing and configuration assistance, ensuring strict data quality, and performing needs assessments. Analyzes current business practices, processes and procedures as well as identifying future business opportunities for leveraging data storage and retrieval system capabilities. Manages relationships with software and hardware vendors to understand the potential architectural impact of different vendor strategies and data acquisition. Responsibilities
Design, implement and maintain an enterprise Data Warehouse along with the various ingestion patterns
Develop, test, deploy and schedule complex ETL/ELT solutions to integrate multiple data assets across the organization
Research and evaluate alternative approaches, design and code efficient and effective solutions for challenging problems ranging from small to large work efforts
Ability to act as a lead developer responsible for the planning, completion and coordination of work activity for projects involving more than one developer
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code or data quality
Skills
Must have
4+ years of experience with writing SQL queries and stored procedures with relational databases
3+ years of experience in a Data Warehouse/BI environment
2+ years of experience in Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, ETL and Database Schemas
2+ years of experience in Design and development of well documented source code
1+ years of experience using CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub and Jenkins
