Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our Marketing and Sales team. This role is critical to understanding market trends, sales performance, and consumer behavior. You will analyze data to provide actionable insights that drive strategy, improve customer targeting, optimize campaigns, and ultimately boost sales. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data analysis with a focus on marketing and sales, and be comfortable working with large datasets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Collection and Cleaning: Gather and organize marketing and sales data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Clean and preprocess data for analysis.
- Sales and Marketing Performance Analysis: Analyze sales and marketing performance metrics (e.g., conversion rates, campaign effectiveness, customer acquisition costs) to evaluate the success of initiatives and strategies.
- Customer Insights: Use data to segment customers, identify buying patterns, and assess the effectiveness of different customer acquisition and retention strategies.
- Campaign Tracking: Develop and maintain dashboards to track the performance of marketing campaigns (email, digital, social media, etc.) and sales activities. Provide recommendations for optimization.
- Market Research: Perform competitive analysis and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential threats.
- Forecasting and Reporting: Create regular reports on sales trends, marketing ROI, and customer behavior. Provide actionable insights and forecasts based on historical data and market trends.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure alignment between data analysis and business objectives.
- Data Visualization: Design and present clear, compelling visual reports and presentations that communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Tools and Software: Utilize advanced data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI) to generate reports and actionable insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience (5-10 years) in data analysis, particularly in marketing and sales analytics.
- Strong knowledge of data analysis techniques, statistical methods, and tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with marketing tools and platforms (Google Analytics, CRM systems, email marketing platforms, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with web analytics and digital marketing metrics.
