Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst/Developer with experience integrating data from various ERP systems into a common data warehouse schema. The Data Analyst/Developer will use our trademarked product, the Sparkflow Data Analytics Data Warehouse Designer tool, to build processes across various Client environments to Extract, Transform, and Load data. Note, training on the proper use and function of the Sparkflow Data Analytics Data Warehouse Designer tool will be provided. Additionally, the Data Analyst/Developer will build transformation logic in T-SQL to match existing reports and incorporate data for reporting. Proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, Git, and a solid understanding and passion of data analysis are a must.
Job Responsibilities
- Connecting to Azure environment to work with the company's network, data, and ERP systems’ data
- Building an extract process to pull relevant data from the source system into our SQL data warehouse staging environment
- Interrogating the extracted data using T-SQL to determine the logic of tables and joins and fields required
- Building a transformation logic in T-SQL that accurately matches the logic of existing reports
- Accurately building a repeatable logic that produces the same results as the provided reporting
- Using the proven logic to incorporate data into data models
- Responding to customer request for specific data sets, changes to the model schema, additional data required for reporting and/or for other uses of the data warehouse data for additional requirements for other applications in the organization
- Using Git for source control processes of development and code development/changes/updates
- Coordinating with other team members to verify logic and results and deploy the solutions developed to the QA environment for the client to verify and validate
- Publishing the development to the Production environment in coordination with other developers
- Participating in weekly standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and other Agile ceremonies
- Participating in discovery calls with the client as necessary and working with the client to clarify requirements and results
Job Requirements
- Proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, and Git for source control processes
- Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
- Familiarity with ERP systems and integrating data from various ERP systems into a common data warehouse schema
- Ability to connect to and work within the Azure environment
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cohesively with other team members
- Ability to respond to customer requests, participate in discovery calls, and clarify requirements and result
