About Hyperface
We are a very young and ambitious startup based out of Bengaluru. Our team is a group of engineers and product specialists who are experts in solving payments and fintech problems. The world is witnessing a radical transformation in the banking and financial services sector. We are creating a platform to accelerate embedded finance, specifically in the credit space.
We are a well-funded startup who have raised upwards of 10 million dollars, one of the top seed rounds amongst B2B companies in the year 2022. While predominantly from India, we have investors from North America, Europe and SouthEast Asia.
About the role
We are seeking a Data Analyst Intern to assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to drive business insights. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and be eager to learn data visualization, reporting, and statistical techniques. We prefer our candidate to have a keen eye for customer profiling, like-profile matching and cohort creation. A general understanding of credit cards and how customers use them is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, clean, and analyze datasets to support business decisions.
Assist in creating reports and dashboards using tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends and patterns.
Support the team in data visualization and storytelling to communicate insights.
Work with SQL to extract and manipulate data from databases.
Collaborate with different teams to understand data needs and provide solutions.
Conduct research on industry trends and best practices in data analytics.
Document findings, methodologies, and insights for future reference.
Requirements:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and at least one programming language (Python, R).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
Ability to work with large datasets and maintain data integrity.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
