We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Cloud Engineer with foundational knowledge in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Java to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, grow their skills, and contribute to cloud-based solutions while gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in the deployment and maintenance of AWS cloud infrastructure
• Develop and maintain Java-based applications with guidance from senior team members
• Participate in the automation of infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
• Monitor cloud systems, report performance issues, and assist in troubleshooting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver solutions
• Adhere to security protocols and best practices under supervision
• Engage in code reviews, accept feedback constructively, and make improvements
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications

• Experience using version control systems such as Git
• Basic understanding of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPCs, IAM
• Proficiency in Java programming language
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs concepts
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD
• Knowledge of containerization basics with Docker
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with serverless computing frameworks (e.g., AWS Lambda)
• Basic proficiency in additional programming languages such as Java Spring Boot
• Understanding of database technologies including NoSQL databases like DynamoDB or MongoDB
• Exposure to Kafka streaming technology
