Position Title: Data Analyst

Employment Type: Full time ( work from office)

Location: Bangalore

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team and contribute to our mission of unlocking the full potential of data. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw data into meaningful insights, developing data-driven solutions, and communicating findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your expertise in data exploration, analysis, visualization, and client collaboration will be instrumental in helping our clients achieve their business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Data Acquisition and Preparation:

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to identify relevant data sources and define data requirements.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from diverse sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Apply data cleaning and preprocessing techniques to address missing values, outliers, and inconsistencies.

2) Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA):

• Conduct comprehensive EDA to uncover patterns, trends, and anomalies in data.
• Utilize statistical methods and visualization tools to gain a deep understanding of data distributions and relationships.
• Develop and test hypotheses based on initial findings.

3) Data Modeling and Analysis:

• Design and implement statistical models, machine learning algorithms, or other analytical approaches to address specific business questions.
• Perform predictive modeling, segmentation, or other advanced analytics techniques as needed.
• Evaluate model performance and interpret results in the context of business goals.

4) Data Visualization and Reporting:

• Create visually compelling and informative dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Tailor visualizations to meet the specific needs of different stakeholders, from executives to technical teams.
• Develop clear and concise narratives to communicate data-driven insights effectively.

5) Client Collaboration and Communication:

• Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their business challenges and data analytics needs.
• Translate complex technical concepts into accessible language for non-technical audiences.
• Present findings, recommendations, and action plans to clients in a persuasive and impactful manner.

6) Data Quality and Governance:

• Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of data governance frameworks and best practices.

7) Professional Development:

• Stay current with the latest advancements in data analytics tools, techniques, and industry trends.
• Participate in relevant training programs and conferences to enhance your skillset and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or a similar role, preferably in a consulting or business environment.
• Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and manipulation.
• Strong SQL skills for querying and managing relational databases.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques.
• Experience in a specific industry or domain (e.g., healthcare, finance, e-commerce).

2) Next you will be given a Skills Test to assess your technical and problem solving skills. (Skills test is dependent on the role applied for and not all roles will need a skills test)

3) In the third step of the process, you will be talking with a recruiter to provide you more information about the job and prepare you for an interview with the hiring managers

4) Lastly, depending on the role applied for, you will go through either one or two rounds of interviews with hiring managers at XponentL Data, Inc our client partner.
