Overview
D365/AX software developer, 3 to 5 years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations developer, is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing customized solutions within the Dynamics 365 platform, primarily focusing on the Finance and Operations modules (formerly known as Microsoft Dynamics AX), utilizing the X++ programming language to cater to specific business needs and functionalities within the ERP system. Key responsibilities of a D365/AX developer:
- Custom development:Writing X++ code to create new features, modify existing functionalities, and integrate external systems with Dynamics 365.
- Requirement analysis:Collaborating with business users and stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications for development.
- Design and architecture:Designing the technical architecture of custom solutions, including data models, workflows, and integrations.
- Implementation and deployment:Implementing developed solutions on the Dynamics 365 platform and deploying them to production environments.
- Testing and debugging:Performing thorough testing to identify and resolve issues within the developed code.
- Maintenance and support:Providing ongoing maintenance and support for deployed solutions, including bug fixes and updates.
Required skills for a D365/AX developer:
- Proficient in X++ programming language:Deep understanding of X++ syntax, object-oriented concepts, and data manipulation within the Dynamics 365 environment.
- Knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations modules:Expertise in core functionalities like General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory Management, and Project Management.
- Microsoft development tools:Familiarity with Visual Studio, development tools within the Dynamics 365 platform, and debugging techniques.
- Database knowledge:Understanding of SQL Server concepts and database interactions within the Dynamics 365 environment.
- Business acumen:Ability to comprehend business processes and translate them into technical solutions.
