We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist

In this role, you will

• Deploy and maintain critical applications on cloud-native microservices architecture
• Implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code
• Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
• Support and work alongside a cross-functional engineering team on the latest technologies
• Iterate on best practices to increase the quality & velocity of deployments
• Sustain and improve the process of knowledge sharing throughout the engineering team. Follow standards and controls to ensure quality of outcome
• Support production deployment and post development implementation activities
• Perform application support as necessary; participate and drive the Crisis Calls for production incidents
• Identify and work on system performance improvement

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Hands-on Unix/Linux Administration
• Expertise with GCP
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible)
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform, Cloudformation)
• Version control system experience (e.g. Git)
• Practical experience with Docker containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Hands-on experience with administration and setup of Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, alerts and workflow setup
• A drive towards automating repetitive tasks (e.g. scripting via Bash, Python etc)
• Experience with administration and maintenance with GKE backup and blue green deployment strategies
• Working knowledge on GCP products like GKE, GCE, Cloud Logging, VPC, NAT Gateways and subnets, Big query etc. is mandatory
• Knowledge on networking protocols like HTTP/HTTPS/TCP and error status is plus
• Fair knowledge and experience of DevOps & Agile discipline.
• Confluence, JIRA, Unix / Linux
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills
• Be a team player - someone who can work with our other engineers to get things done. We are looking for someone who takes pride in the quality of their work, and who cares about how their product is used
• Strong unit testing and debugging skills
