Job Overview

: The Cloud Solution Architect is a key role responsible for leading the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions. This position involves working with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, evaluate technologies, and architect scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure and applications.

Key Responsibilities

:

Design and develop cloud architecture that aligns with the company's business objectives and technology strategy.

Lead the assessment of business requirements and translate them into technical cloud solutions.

Collaborate with IT and development teams to create a cohesive cloud environment.

Provide expertise on cloud services, including AWS, Azure, or GCP, to optimize performance and cost.

Ensure compliance with industry best practices and company security policies.

Develop and document cloud architecture plans, including diagrams and roadmaps.

Mentor and guide teams on cloud adoption, best practices, and technologies.

Evaluate new cloud technologies and make recommendations for enhancements and improvements.

Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of cloud infrastructure issues.

Work closely with cybersecurity teams to design and implement robust security frameworks.

Assist with the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans in the cloud.

Facilitate knowledge sharing by creating and maintaining detailed and comprehensive documentation and diagrams.

Qualifications

:

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

6+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, networking, or software development, with at least 2 years in a cloud architecture role.

Professional cloud certification(s) in AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Strong understanding of cloud computing technology and infrastructure as well as cloud deployment models.

Experience with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services, and an understanding of when to use each.

Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform).

Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation of cloud deployments.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex cloud concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Skills

:

Experience with hybrid cloud environments and cloud migration strategies.

Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and experience ensuring cloud services adhere to these regulations.

Understanding of microservices architecture and serverless computing
