Overview
Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (AWS/Azure) - L2 Cloud Infrastructure Management (AWS & Azure): ● Manage and monitor cloud resources (AWS and Azure) including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security groups. ● Provision and configure cloud infrastructure using best practices for scalability, security, and cost optimization. ● Maintain cloud environments by performing regular updates, patches, and resource scaling to ensure optimal performance. Monitoring and Alerts: ● Monitor cloud environments using AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, and other cloud-native monitoring tools. ● Respond to infrastructure alerts and address incidents as per SLA. ● Troubleshoot issues related to cloud-based virtual machines, network configurations, security, and storage. Troubleshooting and Incident Management: ● Provide second-line support for cloud-related issues, including troubleshooting networking, storage, virtual machine failures, and access issues. ● Collaborate with L1 engineers to identify and resolve simple cloud issues. Cloud Security: ● Ensure the implementation of cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), network security groups (NSG), firewalls, and encryption. ● Work with the security team to monitor and respond to security events in AWS and Azure. ● Ensure that compliance standards and regulations are followed in the cloud environment. Backup and Disaster Recovery: ● Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies for cloud resources. ● Ensure cloud-based backup solutions are configured, tested, and operational. ● Work with the infrastructure and operations teams to prepare for and recover from cloud outages or disasters. Documentation and Reporting: ● Maintain accurate documentation of cloud infrastructure, procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. ● Contribute to the development of runbooks for common cloud incidents and best practices. ● Provide regular updates and reports on the status of cloud environments to senior management and other stakeholders.
