Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in Azure cloud services, including networking, security, authentication, storage, and compute. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure PaaS, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud security best practices. This role involves managing and optimizing Azure environments to ensure platform reliability, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities

Azure Cloud Engineering & Administration

• Manage and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Administer Azure Portal, Entra ID, and authentication mechanisms.
• Configure and maintain Azure PaaS services: App Services, Function Apps, Azure SQL, CosmosDB, and Azure Service Bus (ASB).
• Implement and manage Azure Storage solutions and Key Vault for secure data access.
• Oversee Azure API Management (APIM), including Developer Portal, Postman/Bruno testing, and policy configurations.
• Set up and manage monitoring tools: App Insights, Log Analytics, and ing systems.
• Enforce Azure Policy and governance for compliance.
• Support onboarding of applications to Azure, ensuring secure and seamless integration.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation

• Develop and maintain Terraform, ARM templates, and PowerShell scripts for infrastructure provisioning.
• Automate infrastructure deployments using Azure CLI, PowerShell, and ARM templates.
• Ensure alignment with governance frameworks and compliance standards.

Azure Networking & Security

• Configure and maintain VNets, Subnets, Private Endpoints, and ExpressRoute connections.
• Manage security components like Firewalls, NSGs, UDRs, and DNS settings.
• Optimize global route management for connectivity performance.
• Ensure secure cloud operations with effective authentication, authorization, and certificate management.

Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting

• Use Kusto Query Language (KQL) for diagnostics and performance analysis.
• Tune and optimize PaaS resources for scalability, cost, and security.
• Handle platform-level certificate and key management (e.g., CMKs, Dev Certs).
• Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to ensure reliable deployments and operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• 10–15 years of experience in Azure Cloud Engineering or a similar domain.
• Strong understanding of cloud fundamentals: networking, security, authentication, and storage.
• Proficient with Azure PaaS services including App Services, ASE, ADF, APIM, ASB, CosmosDB, and Azure SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, ARM Templates, PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
• Familiarity with Azure networking components (VNets, NSGs, Private Endpoints, etc.).
• Skilled in troubleshooting using Log Analytics, App Insights, and KQL.
• Knowledge of certificate management and cloud security best practices.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

• Microsoft Azure certifications: AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-305, or AZ-500.
• Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of firewall management, load balancing, and DNS configurations.
