Cloud Engineer - Microsoft Azure

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud services, including networking, security, authentication, storage, and compute. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure PaaS, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud security best practices. This role involves managing and optimizing Azure environments to ensure platform reliability, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

Azure Cloud Engineering & Administration

• Manage and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure for high availability and performance.
• Administer Azure Portal, Entra ID, and authentication mechanisms.
• Configure and maintain Azure PaaS services such as App Service, Function Apps, Azure SQL, CosmosDB, and Azure Service Bus (ASB).
• Implement and manage Azure Storage solutions and Key Vault for secure data access.
• Manage Azure API Management (APIM), including Developer Portal, Postman/Bruno, and policy configuration.
• Set up and maintain App Insights, Log Analytics, and monitoring tools for performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Enforce governance through Azure Policies to maintain compliance.
• Support secure and compliant application onboarding to Azure.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation

• Develop and maintain Terraform, ARM templates, and PowerShell scripts for infrastructure provisioning.
• Automate cloud deployments using Azure CLI, PowerShell, and templates.
• Ensure adherence to Azure policies and governance frameworks through automated solutions.

Azure Networking & Security

• Configure and maintain VNets, Subnets, Private Endpoints, and Express Routes.
• Implement firewalls, NSGs, UDRs, and DNS configurations.
• Optimize global route management and secure connectivity.
• Manage authentication, authorization, and certificate lifecycle for secure cloud operations.

Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting

• Use Kusto Query Language (KQL) for log analysis and issue resolution.
• Optimize Azure PaaS services for cost, scalability, and performance.
• Handle platform-level certificate and key management (CMK, development, and platform certificates).
• Work closely with DevOps and application teams for seamless deployments and operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 8–10 years of experience in Azure Cloud Engineering or a similar role.
• Strong foundation in cloud networking, security, storage, and authentication concepts.
• Proficient with Azure PaaS services like App Services, ASE, ADF, APIM, ASB, CosmosDB, and Azure SQL.
• Experience with Terraform, ARM templates, and PowerShell scripting.
• Hands-on with Azure CLI, policy enforcement, and automation.
• Skilled in Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, Private Endpoints, Express Routes).
• Proficient in troubleshooting using App Insights, Log Analytics, and KQL.
• Familiar with certificate management and cloud security best practices.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Microsoft Certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-305, or AZ-500.
• Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Working knowledge of firewall management, load balancing, and DNS configurations.
