Job Requirements
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Cloud Kubernetes Architect to design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters across multiple cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, Kubernetes, and container orchestration, with a deep understanding of multi-cloud strategies and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architectural Design:
- Design scalable cloud architecture with Cost and Resource utilization in mind to manage lifecycle (Build, Operate and Decommission) of Kubernetes clusters across multiple cloud providers.
- Develop multi-cloud strategies to ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.
- Create architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and best practice guidelines.
- Implementation and Management:
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Automate cluster provisioning, scaling, monitoring, and maintenance using CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure consistent and reliable cluster operations, including upgrades, patches, and backups.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement robust security measures, including network policies, access controls, and encryption.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Performance Optimization:
- Monitor and optimize the performance of Kubernetes clusters and workloads.
- Implement resource allocation and autoscaling strategies to optimize cost and performance.
- Troubleshoot performance issues and provide solutions for improvement.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to support application deployments and operations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Collaborate with cloud service providers to leverage new features and services.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Kubernetes, cloud computing, and container orchestration.
- Evaluate and integrate new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance the multi-cloud Kubernetes infrastructure.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and increase efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Kubernetes Architect or similar role.
- Extensive experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration tools.
- In-depth knowledge of multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and microservices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Knowledge of networking concepts and technologies.
- Strong knowledge on Container Networking Interface in Kubernetes
Experience with managing User Identity across multiple cloud providers.
Good to have knowledge:
- Knowledge on Platforms to centrally manage Kubernetes Clusters running on multiple cloud (CAPI, Rancher ,EKS Anywhere, Google Anthos,)
- Experience with at least one or two CNI Plugins (Calico, Flannel, Weave)
Preferred Certifications:
- Certifications in Kubernetes (CKA, CKAD) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
