o Conduct regular security assessments, risk analysis, and vulnerability management for cloud infrastructures.
4. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
o Work closely with developers, operations teams, and business leaders to define cloud requirements and provide solutions.
o Provide guidance and mentorship to cloud engineers and junior architects to build a strong cloud ecosystem.
o Create detailed documentation, including architecture diagrams, cloud cost models, and design patterns.
5. Cloud Cost Management:
o Implement cloud cost optimization strategies, manage cloud spending, and ensure budgets are adhered to.
o Provide cost estimates and support the procurement of cloud services.
o Monitor and report on cloud costs, analyzing usage patterns and recommending cost-saving strategies.
6. Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
o Stay updated on the latest trends and innovations in cloud technologies and recommend the adoption of new solutions.
o Contribute to developing cloud migration strategies, incorporating DevOps practices, and optimizing cloud processes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of IT experience with at least 5+ years in cloud architecture roles using AWS and Azure.
- Cloud Platforms: Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
- Cloud Services: In-depth knowledge of key cloud services such as Computer, Networking, Storage, Databases, Security, Identity and Access Management, and Monitoring on both AWS and Azure.
- Architecture Patterns: Expertise in designing cloud-native and hybrid architectures, including micro services, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless architectures.
- Cloud Security: Proficiency in cloud security principles, including IAM, VPC, encryption, firewalls, and secure networking.
- Tools & Technologies: Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, Ansible, or Azure ARM templates.
- Programming/Scripting: Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps).
- Certifications: Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or equivalent highly desirable.
- Project Management: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and cloud project management practices.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with hybrid cloud models, multi-cloud strategies, and cloud service integration.
- Knowledge of container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or ECS.
- Experience with cloud monitoring and optimization tools (e.g., Cloud Watch, Azure Monitor, Data dog).
