C++ Developer(Software Engineering Specialist)

In our DELMIA R&D organization, we are looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer who will have a fundamental role of delivering World Class Apps, Services and Technos creating emotions & value to end-users. As part of our software development team, you will contribute in creation of outstanding enterprise solutions used by our customers. You will work closely with the extended DELMIA R&D teams across multiple geographies and collaborate with our technical sales team to better understand our customer requirements

This position will be based in Bengaluru, INDIA.

Role & Responsibilities

• Responsible for Development of DELMIA Process Planning Suite of Software Applications

• Design the software system, describing the specifications in technical terms:

o Select algorithms, theories or technologies to use

o Plan appropriate user interface

o Identify and manage dependencies with other components

o Document these selections in a PES (Product Enhancement Specification Document)

• Develop and implement new functionalities described in PES:

o Code, compile and run unit tests according to Implement processes and Metrics (KPIs)

o Check the progress of dependencies with other components

• Ensure knowledge sharing within the team about the developments

• Work towards development convergence:

o Improve code quality up to the Last Build, to reach the defined quality metrics (component metrics, product metrics …)

• Regularly run lessons learned and RCA to identify areas for code quality or software performances improvement

• Resolve quality issues (backlog management):

o Resolution of incidents reports (IRs) reported by the Technical Customer Support or by Product QA teams

• Technological intelligence:

o Keep abreast of the latest technological developments, understand the requirements of our development partners, know about competing products, look ahead for future products, technologies, languages, etc.

Qualifications/Experience

• Bachelor/Master in Mechanical / Computer Science or related Engineering

• 2-5 years’ Experience in software development

• Strong programming skills in C/C++, preferably on Windows platform

• Knowledgeable in Software Architecture, OOPS Concepts, Data structures and Algorithms

• Independent with good problem solving ability, fast learner and good command of English (spoken & written)

• Experience in COM, CAD/CAM, R&D methods/process/tools will be an added advantage
