We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join us at Siemens Digital Industries Software. You are welcome to contribute to the growth of a wide range of software solutions for industrial automation and digitalization. You must have a strong software engineer background, open to cross cultural teamwork with an interest for scientific computing tool for simulation.
Description:
As part of our development team, you will contribute with your knowledge and enthusiasm to the development of our system modeling and simulation software "Simcenter Amesim".
Simcenter is a platform of tools to handle 1D simulation of dynamic systems. The core software of this suite called Amesim allows to model physical multi-domain systems with many libraries of components (more than 30 physical domains are used like hydraulic, mechanic, thermal, electrical, magnetic, cooling, powertrain…).
Responsibilities: - Your main missions will be to design, implement, document, and validate new features of the software core platform and the graphical interface for Simcenter Amesim.
- You will also participate in developing the overall software architecture, maintaining existing software code, and resolving critical customer issues and internally reported problems.
- You should be able to write clean, robust, and maintainable code to minimize the cost of defects over time. You will also contribute to Product testing and QC (Quality control) execution.
- You will closely work with the other team members globally distributed over India and Europe under the Agile Scrum framework, to align knowledge and contribute to improve current features in the product suite, maintain the code and finally grow to design and build new major features.
Computer Engineering degree (BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech, MCA)
Essential skills: - 3+ years of Software development experience.
- Strong skills in C++.
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming.
- Knowledge of Qt framework will be an added advantage.
- The working language is English. Should be a natural communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience of working in an Agile framework is good.
- Desirable: Knowledge of Git, Python.
- Good knowledge of Windows and Visual Studio.
- Experience in Linux/Unix Operating Systems is a bonus.
- Should be willing to work as part of a team consisting of engineers from different nations and cultures.
