The role
The work dynamics Data and Insights team is looking to recruit a Business Intelligence Analyst to work in its Business Intelligence Team.
The Business Intelligence Analyst will work as part of a highly skilled client-oriented global data community at JLL to develop innovative analytical solutions that support the business's efforts to increase productivity, reduce risk, lift customer satisfaction and drive revenue.
The Business Intelligence Team is committed to continuous learning and innovation. As such, the job holder will be expected to embrace external industry communities, including Tableau, Alteryx, and Databricks, to ensure their skills constantly evolve and embrace new analytical techniques and functionality within our core BI products.
As the business use of data and analytics matures within our client and client-facing teams, so will the tools and platforms the business uses for Business Intelligence. The Business Intelligence Analyst will be expected to support the development of analytical Proof of Concepts to demonstrate the potential return on investment and transform Proof of Concepts into sustainable processes that can be adopted and shared across JLL. This will be done as part of the wider Business Intelligence Analytics Team within JLL, ensuring any developed solutions are documented and embedded within the team's operating framework.
The person will be accountable for building effective analytical products and transforming transactional data into meaningful business insights. The ideal candidate will demonstrate good data visualisation skills, design thinking, problem-solving skills, and excitement about building creative first-of-a-kind solutions.
In addition, the ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to embrace new techniques and technology, leveraging defined and documented business requirements to develop analytical solutions that provide the business with actionable insights.
They will be required to work at a fast pace, using an agile project management methodology that enables an iterative and collaborative approach to project delivery.
Whilst strong technical knowledge is essential, it is equally important that the candidate can integrate alongside existing data & insights staff, sharing their knowledge and learning from other analysts within the team and the broader JLL Business Intelligence and data family.
Day to day
Support the continued development of client and client-account-specific core business intelligence solutions (Tableau, Alteryx, Databricks, Python, JLL GPT APIs )
Provide advice and guidance to staff on Tableau, data analysis and reporting.
Ensuring iterative design processes are followed, providing regular feedback and engagement to the business.
Be an active member of the internal and external B.I communities to ensure continuous personal learning and knowledge sharing with other members of the B.I Team.
Actively participating in feedback to other analysts and data engineers for the development of new initiatives.
Desirable Knowledge & Capabilities
Passionate about data and analytics, with knowledge of data visualisation and analytical techniques.
Ability to demonstrate examples of utilising Tableau, Alteryx, and/or generative models to accelerate your learning journey.
Demonstrates an ability to learn new techniques and tools as and when identified.
Communication - Excellent presentation skills (verbal and written), strong understanding of analytic/statistical concepts, and ability to explain them to others through simple storytelling.
Business awareness – Understanding how a complex business/account functions to influence their design thinking when developing new analytical solutions.
Team-building—Key stakeholders and collaborators are geographically dispersed. It is critical to get results from ad hoc groups of disparate people.
Awareness of agile project management methodology is desirable.
Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree or equivalent experience in BI, computer science, econometrics, operations research or statistics preferred, or equivalent working experience
Minimum 1 years past work experience as a BI, business or data analyst required.
Fluent English
Ability to engage with colleagues wider than the B.I Team.

Business analysis, consulting/advisory and/or project or client management experience
Working experience in BI tools (for example, Tableau, GPTs)
Knowledge and experience of working with data warehousing and processing technologies (like Databricks, Alteryx, SQL, Snowflake, Amazon RDS)
Working experience in the analytical toolkit (e.g. SPSS, SAS, R, Python) is desirable.
Strong analytical mindset with an ability to interpret, visualise and tell the story behind the data.
Focus on providing relevant solutions to customer challenges, which drive productivity, profitability, client satisfaction or other important business metrics
Able to deliver high-quality work promptly, also under time pressure.
A team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to effectively communicate both with technical experts and management.
Professional experience and passion to further excel in a category of broadly understood BI, including Business & client understanding, business analysis, data visualisation, databases, data integration, ETL, big data, storytelling, Generative AI and strategy.
