We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist
In this role, you will:
- Develop relationships with client (vendor) employees that foster client ties.
- Communicate with clients to identify needs and evaluate Risk business solutions.
- Maintain full and up-to-date understanding of the business strategy, current practices and system capabilities; gain an in-depth knowledge of the Risk verticals and applications
- Provide a Quality Assurance bridge between the Development, Test and Business teams
- Understand the business issues and data challenges within the project; identify data feeds and analyse data quality; Liaise with upstream data source providers to establish data feed requirements, SLAs etc.
- Analyzing and documenting business requirements
- Production of detailed functional specifications
- Contributing to the overall system design
- Carrying out ad hoc functional testing, working with the System Testers to ensure adequate test scripts have been built and run, assisting users with acceptance testing
- Assisting in the training of key business users
- Working closely with the development team to deliver business benefit
- Building excellent working relationships with the business and users
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Knowledge in Asset management/Risk and Banking and domain is a must
- Excellent Markets knowledge across a range of products: FX; FXO; Equities; Equity Derivatives; Fixed Income; Futures; Swaps
- Proven, significant and demonstrable experience of working within an investment bank
- Excellent communication (written and verbal English), relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and having experience of writing complex SQL queries.
- Understanding of database design principles to aid in data analysis
- Well versed with Agile methodologies. Able to perform a role of scrum master
- Ability to perform functional testing and ensure proper coverage
- Self motivated, enthusiastic and proven fast learner
- Strong team player
- Structured worker able to efficiently manage multiple tasks
- Accountability – Takes ownership of tasks assigned to ultimate resolution with minimal supervision
- Cultivates a collaborative and cooperative attitude
- Ability to challenge accepted wisdom ensure focus on the problem to be addressed rather than “the solution we want”
