- Analyze business performance metrics, customer behavior, and operational data to identify trends and recommend opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, finance, and IT) to gather insights and translate them into actionable business recommendations.
- Provide data-driven insights to optimize eCommerce processes, improve user experience, and enhance overall platform performance.
- Develop business cases to support recommendations for new features, process improvements, or system enhancements.
- Continuously monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide strategic recommendations based on findings.
- Work closely with the eCommerce Project Manager (PM) to align business analysis efforts with project goals and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure that identified opportunities and recommended improvements are integrated into project roadmaps and execution plans.
- Support project planning by identifying risks, dependencies, and potential efficiencies based on data insights.
- Maintain clear communication with the eCommerce PM and stakeholders regarding findings, priorities, and action plans.
- Collect, document, and analyze business requirements, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications for the development team.
- Serve as the bridge between business stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless execution.
- Document and maintain standardized eCommerce processes to ensure transparency and efficiency.
- Proactively evaluate existing processes and workflows, recommending optimizations based on data insights.
- Identify inefficiencies in eCommerce operations and work with stakeholders to implement improvements.
- Assess and mitigate risks that could impact project timelines, business objectives, or platform performance.
- Take full ownership of assigned projects and initiatives, proactively identifying challenges and driving solutions without waiting for direction.
Key Priorities:
Project Management
- Collaborate with the eCommerce PM to ensure alignment between business insights and project execution.
- Manage system-driven projects in close coordination with IT and eCommerce stakeholders.
- Ensure that recommendations are incorporated into system development and process improvements.
- Continuously monitor and refine business processes to maximize eCommerce success.
Data-Driven Decision Making & Business Recommendations
- Leverage data insights from various teams to identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and optimization.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure that business decisions are backed by comprehensive data analysis.
- Partner with the eCommerce PM to turn insights into actionable initiatives.
E-Commerce Process Optimization & Governance
- Develop a deep understanding of eCommerce workflows, systems, and operational processes.
- Standardize and document eCommerce processes for transparency and continuous improvement.
- Partner with IT teams to refine system functionalities and improve platform performance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to drive eCommerce success.
- Business-related Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field).
- 7-9 years of experience in business analysis, eCommerce, or data-driven decision-making roles.
- Experience analyzing and translating data insights into business recommendations.
- Hands-on experience with Magento (required) and Salesforce or other eCommerce platforms (preferred).
- Familiarity with data visualization and analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Google Analytics, SQL).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership.
- MS Office proficiency (Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Advanced knowledge of business analysis practices and development/testing processes.
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving aptitude, and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Self-starter with an ownership mentality, demonstrating initiative and the ability to drive projects forward independently.
- Must be a team player with strong collaboration skills, working effectively across business and technical teams.
