As a Business Analyst specializing in the Banking, Investment, and Capital Market domain, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around understanding the intricate workings of financial institutions, investment strategies, and capital markets, while also leveraging your proficiency in SQL to extract and analyse data to inform decision-making. Here's an overview of your key responsibilities and qualifications:
Key Responsibilities:
Domain Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of the Banking, Investment, and Capital Market industry. Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to provide valuable insights to the business.
Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, product managers, and IT teams, to elicit and document business requirements. Translate these requirements into clear and concise specifications.
Data Analysis: Utilize your SQL skills to extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources, such as databases and data warehouses. Perform data profiling and validation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Query Formulation: Proficiently read and write SQL queries to retrieve specific datasets and create ad-hoc reports as required. Use SQL to manipulate data for analysis and reporting purposes.
Documentation: Create detailed documentation of business processes, requirements, and data models. Maintain documentation throughout the project lifecycle and ensure it is accessible to relevant stakeholders.
Solution Design: Collaborate with technical teams to design solutions that meet business requirements. Ensure alignment between business needs and technical implementations.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Assist in the development and execution of test cases to validate that the implemented solutions meet business requirements. Participate in system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
Communication: Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Bridge the gap between business users and IT teams by translating technical concepts into understandable language.
Experience & Qualifications:
Domain Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Banking, Investment, and Capital Market industry, including financial products, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
SQL Proficiency: Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write complex queries, optimize database performance, and troubleshoot data-related issues.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret data, identify patterns, and provide data-driven insights.
Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Documentation: Detail-oriented with the ability to create clear and comprehensive documentation.
Team Player: A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team and across departments.
Project Management: Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools (Asana Dashboard )is a plus.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in banking, finance, or business analysis are advantageous.
