Brief about the Team:
Business Intelligence team works closely with the org-wide leadership team, business, product, growth, and category teams to drive operational excellence and strategic initiatives. The team works on special projects and innovations that aim to deliver high impact. The projects span across business verticals including e-pharma, e-diagnostics and retail.
What we are looking for:
- 2+ years of experience in business analytics
- Strong experience in SQL, proficient in reading and writing complex queries.
- Excellent working knowledge of large data manipulation using complex SQL.
- Experience in performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Experience in designing and implementing custom reporting systems by managing or guiding technical teams with tools such as Tableau.
- Knowledge of Databricks and Metabase will be preferred.
- Fluency in using Microsoft Excel or Google sheets and Python.
- Strong sense of ownership and comfort in taking initiative and proactively offering business
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
What will you do:
1. Financial Reporting
- You should be comfortable in working on financial reporting which involves handling large data sets.
- Translate business questions into analytical problems and build solutions using visualization techniques, machine learning, and statistical modeling to ensure that a robust scalable solution is developed
- You should be able to quickly understand the ad hoc requests and turn them into reusable reports
2. Building Core Architecture
- Work on developing data transformations and performing end to end data validation for the developed transforms.
- Participating in internal code reviews to maintain high quality code.
- Work on improving performance bottlenecks of the existing transforms.
3. Maintaining BI Systems
- Owning governance of the BI systems which includes maintaining process and outlining best practices.
- Help with conceptualizing & architecture of a Self-Serve Platform.
4. Communication
- Communicate and advocate usage of data & information to relevant stakeholders to drive outcomes
- Frequent updates to the project leads, communicating business performance and insights that facilitate senior discussions and decision making
