Job Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled and data driven Business Analyst to support the Media Sales team. This role will involve analyzing sales data, identifying trends, generating actionable insights, and ensuring the media sales strategy is effective and aligned with business goals. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving processes, optimizing revenue opportunities, and supporting decision-making with data-driven analysis.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Sales Data Analysis:
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Develop detailed reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs), sales performance, and media buying effectiveness.
- Provide detailed insights on sales performance, audience engagement, and revenue generation, helping sales teams make data-driven decisions.
Market Research:
- Conduct market research to understand the competitive landscape and industry trends in the media space.
- Analyze audience behavior and demographics to support targeting strategies for media campaigns.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on industry data to enhance media sales strategies.
Collaboration with Sales Teams:
- Work closely with the media sales team to understand their goals, challenges, and priorities.
- Support the sales team with actionable insights for client proposals, media planning, and advertising campaigns.
- Assist in the creation of sales presentations, pitch decks, and reports for clients.
Forecasting & Reporting:
- Create and maintain accurate sales forecasts based on historical data and market trends.
- Provide regular reporting on sales performance against targets, including detailed variance analysis.
- Help assess sales performance and recommend adjustments to improve results.
Client & Stakeholder Management:
- Support internal stakeholders (e.g., sales managers, product managers) with timely and accurate business insights.
- Communicate analysis results clearly to non-technical teams, ensuring the data is understood and actionable.
- Assist in responding to client requests related to media performance and campaign reporting.
Ad-hoc Analysis:
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis as required by the sales and media teams.
- Provide deep dives into specific metrics, client accounts, or media campaigns when needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Data Science, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA) or relevant certifications is a plus.
Experience:
- (2-4) years of experience in business analysis, preferably within media sales, advertising, or digital marketing.
- Strong experience in data analysis, sales forecasting, and market research.
- Familiarity with media sales KPIs, digital advertising metrics, and media buying processes.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc.).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio.
- Knowledge of CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot) and other sales/marketing tools.
- Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, MediaOcean, or similar is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with large datasets.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in media planning, digital advertising, or related fields.
- Knowledge of the media landscape (e.g., TV, radio, digital, OTT).
- Understanding of digital marketing trends, consumer behavior analytics, and ad tech.
Work Environment:
- Occasional travel may be required for client meetings or industry events.
