Project description
We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst with extensive experience in the banking domain, possessing a solid understanding of risk and finance terminologies. The ideal candidate will have a background in business analysis within a technology or IT function and a proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders across the business. This role involves supporting banking projects with knowledge of various asset classes, reporting tools, and ETL applications.
Responsibilities
Business Analysis in Banking: Perform in-depth business analysis for banking projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Domain Expertise: Apply a deep understanding of banking, risk, and finance terminologies across a range of asset classes (e.g., equities, fixed income, derivatives).
Business Analysis Tools & Techniques: Use business analysis tools and techniques to gather and document requirements, analyze processes, and develop solutions that meet business needs.
Project Delivery & Documentation: Support the delivery of banking projects with an emphasis on reporting and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) applications, contributing to data flow analysis, mapping, and testing.
SQL Proficiency: Utilize SQL for data analysis, validation, and reporting, ensuring accurate and actionable insights are delivered to stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management: Engage effectively with stakeholders across departments, including technology, finance, and risk teams, to define requirements, clarify objectives, and secure approvals.
Skills
Must have
7-8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, specifically within the banking sector.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and reporting.
Familiarity with reporting tools and ETL applications.
Banking Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of asset classes, risk, and finance terminologies in a banking environment.
Analytical Tools & Techniques: Experience applying business analysis tools and techniques within a technology or IT function.
Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex requirements effectively.
Nice to have
Experience working on large-scale or regulatory banking projects.
Familiarity with data governance and compliance considerations in banking.
