Position Overview
Driven by customer needs and organizational strategy, this role will focus on requirements development acting as the day-to-day connection and guide between the Product and development teams to help execute on the product platform roadmap.
Under the direction of the Product Management team, this position works to identify and drive platform modernization improvements. This role will lead business discussions with multiple stakeholder groups to analyze business needs, define solutions and ensure the delivered solution meets business requirements based upon research findings and product platform expertise.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing business systems to inform current state and optimize required change
- Soliciting business system requirements and priorities from internal and external stakeholders using insights and data to clarify needs
- Collaborating with Product Managers and UX to document product user stories, business system requirements, process flows and diagrams and launch artifacts
- Communicating priorities and risks to stakeholders and leadership
- Executing and tracking product deliverables with clear milestones
- Ensuring collaboration and alignment with other VitalEdge role-based, project and application teams
- Applying product and business analysis concepts, principles, tools and methodologies to create innovative solutions
Required Skills & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
- 4-7 years’ experience in Business Analysis or related area
- Organizationally savvy, with demonstrated ability to influence leaders and facilitate alignment and clear decision-making
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple competing projects
- Excellent communicator, including written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Highly inquisitive with strong collaboration and influencing skills
- Fundamental conceptual and analytical thinking skills; process and detail oriented
- Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment
- Experience in collaborating with remote and offshore agile teams
- Competency in Jira, Confluence, digital collaboration tools and Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Understanding and application of Product Management strategy and methodologies to improve user and customer outcomes
- Solid project management and organizational experience/skills
Nice to Have
Knowledge of the Heavy Equipment, Automotive or Recreation; relevant customer environment & technical domain or product marketing area.
This role may be asked to come into US, Canada at about 4 to 5 times a year for a few days
