Job Description:

we are seeking a skilled BigQuery Data Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, SQL, and ETL processes. This role requires expertise in data modeling, pipeline development, and optimization techniques to ensure efficient data processing and analytics.

Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain BigQuery-based data solutions.
• Optimize SQL queries and ensure efficient performance of BigQuery datasets.
• Build and manage ETL/ELT data pipelines using GCP tools like Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow), and Pub/Sub.
• Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business teams to define data requirements.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security in compliance with industry best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug data processing issues and improve system reliability.

Required Skills:

✅ Strong experience in BigQuery, SQL, and data modeling.

✅ Proficiency in Python and scripting for automation.

✅ Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and Cloud Storage, Dataflow, or Composer.

✅ Familiarity with GCP services such as Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, and IAM.

✅ Knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization in BigQuery.

✅ Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps practices is a plus.

Preferred Qualification:

• Experience with Apache Beam, Spark, or Kafka.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and BI tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Google Cloud Certification (Professional Data Engineer) is a plus.
