Backend (.NET) Developer

Overview

Role Description

As a Backend Developer you will design, develop, test, and implement effective and highly robust applications. You must be able to maintain both new and existing databases. In the role you will be required to work independently and seek support as required. You will work as part of a collaborative Agile development team on the frontend, database and back-end elements of the 9ine App which is used by customers all over the world. You must have a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• Collaboratively working within a team to develop solutions aligned with the business needs.
• Taking business requirements and turning them into technical solutions.
• Developing, implementing and maintaining solutions that are both reliable and scalable.
• Troubleshooting issues and carrying out root cause analysis.
• Recommending improvements to new and existing systems.
• Ensuring compliance to code implementation procedures.
• Documenting technical solutions in line with agreed quality standards.
• Providing regular updates.

Skills and Experience

• 2+ years experience in C#.net/MVC, Web API’s using .NET core or .NET Framework technology.
• Relevant qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Experience working with GIT branches, code merging and integration operations.
• Experience in writing and maintaining secure, clean and efficient code, following coding standards and code review practices.
• Experience of working in Agile delivery model using Jira as the work management tool.
• Fluency in both written and verbal English.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work collaboratively to achieve objectives.
• Excellent analytical.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
