AuctionX is redefining online auctions by integrating real-time multiplayer bidding experiences on blockchain. We are looking for an experienced Node.js Backend Developer specializing in real-time systems, multiplayer mechanics (Colyseus/Socket.io), and Web3 integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop Real-Time Auction Systems
• Build a scalable multiplayer auction engine using Colyseus or Socket.io.
• WebSocket-Based Bidding Logic: Implement bid synchronization, real-time leaderboards, and auction timers.
• Blockchain & Smart Contract Integration: Work with Ethereum L2 (Base) for on-chain settlements & Web3 interactions.
• Scalability & Load Balancing: Optimize server performance for high-concurrency auctions.
• Data Persistence & Security: Use Redis/PostgreSQL to manage real-time bid history & auction state securely.
• Collaboration: Work with frontend & blockchain developers to create a seamless real-time experience.
• Testing & Debugging: Ensure high availability, low latency, and secure real-time transactions.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Node.js, Node.js clustering, and WebSockets (Colyseus or Socket.io).
• Experience in developing real-time multiplayer systems (gaming, auctions, or betting platforms).
• Knowledge of Redis for real-time state management.
• Database Experience: PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs & Microservices architecture.
• Web3 Integration (Preferred): Hands-on experience with ethers.js, smart contract calls, and gas fee optimizations.

⭐ Background in blockchain development (DeFi, NFT auctions, on-chain transactions).
⭐ Deep understanding of WebSocket optimizations for high-throughput, low-latency applications.
