Role Overview

We seek a Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable and secure backend systems that power our innovative renewable energy solutions. The ideal candidate is proficient in architecting robust backend services, building APIs, managing databases, and deploying cloud-native applications.

While experience in Django/Python is preferred, we are primarily looking for strong backend development skills, including system design, database management, and API development. Exposure to IoT backend development, cloud platforms, or distributed systems is a plus but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Architecture & API Development: Design and implement scalable backend systems and APIs using industry best practices.
• Database Management: Work with relational and NoSQL databases to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and optimization.
• System Performance & Security: Optimize backend performance, ensure security best practices, and implement authentication/authorization mechanisms.
• Scalability & Deployment: Deploy, monitor, and scale backend applications using containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools.
• Code Quality & Collaboration: Contribute to code reviews, and system documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with emerging backend technologies and architectural patterns to improve system capabilities.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in backend development, with expertise in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance APIs.
• Proficiency in database design and management (SQL and/or NoSQL databases).
• Experience with containerized applications and deployment strategies.
• Knowledge of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on performance optimization and system reliability.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate in a fast-paced team environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Django/Python and Django Rest Framework (DRF).
• Familiarity with IoT protocols (MQTT, HTTP) and time-series databases (e.g., Influx DB, Crate DB).
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, with Azure IoT experience as a plus.
• Experience in real-time data processing and distributed systems.
