Azure Cloud Engineer

Overview

Job Responsibilities

As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will:

• Design, implement, and manage cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure services.
• Work with the development team to integrate Azure solutions with existing infrastructure.
• Create and maintain Azure-based environments (e.g., virtual machines, databases, storage accounts).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable Azure-based solutions.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability of cloud applications on Azure.
• Automate cloud processes using Azure DevOps, ARM templates, and PowerShell scripts.
• Ensure the security of cloud infrastructure by following best practices and guidelines.
• Troubleshoot, resolve issues, and ensure high availability of cloud services.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure offerings, best practices, and cloud technologies.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, storage, databases, networking, and security.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS).
• Hands-on experience with Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Azure Active Directory, Azure DevOps, and PowerShell scripting.
• Familiarity with network security, VPN, and VNET configurations within Azure.
• Knowledge of cost management and optimization in Azure environments.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
• Ability to implement disaster recovery solutions and ensure business continuity in Azure.

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
• Experience with cloud security best practices and tools.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation using Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates).
