Azure Cloud Engineer

Job Description

You will contribute to development of build and deployment processes. You will be exploring wide range of Azure services for building automation tools supporting cloud infrastructure hosting for Cytel’s products.

You will aim to become a strong individual contributor capable of working independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop requirements for build and deploy by following the approved design documentation.
• Develop automation scripts in PowerShell, python or similar scripting tools.
• Get your scripts reviewed by relevant team members and address code review comments in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot, debug and fix defects in build and deploy pipelines.
• Identify and list opportunities for monitoring and share those with your tech leads.
• Contribute to daily deployment activities in various environments
• Master relevant DevOps practices, tools, and technologies.
• Make yourself familiar with and follow relevant company policies.
• Keep your knowledge up to date by undergoing appropriate trainings and courses.
• Seek feedback on your performance and track progress on your goals regularly with the help of your manager, taking corrective actions as necessary.
• Familiarize yourself with Cytel’s values and the competencies required to succeed in your job and learn to practice these at work.
  
  

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in administration of Azure infrastructure
• Azure Fundamentals-level certifications will be added advantage
• Good understanding of source control tools like Git or Bitbucket
• Experience in bash or PowerShell scripting and Azure CLI
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps YAML pipelines
• Knowledge of writing Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates
• Knowledge of relational database SQL (Postgres preferred)
• Understand key networking fundamentals such as DNS, firewalls and load balancing
