Overview
Role: AWS Data Engineer
Experience Required: 7+ Years
Duration: 6 months
Location: 100% Remote
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer in consumer finance or equivalent industries
- Strong background in math, statistics, computer science, or data science
- Advanced proficiency in Java, Scala, Python, or C#
- Hands-on experience with HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Oozie/Airflow, AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, Snowflake
Expertise in:
- Data mining/programming tools (SAS, SQL, R, Python)
- Databases (PostgreSQL, Redshift, Snowflake, Greenplum)
- Data visualization (Tableau, Looker, MicroStrategy)
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent communication skills to present findings to non-technical audiences
Mandatory Requirements:
- Experience in AWS Glue
- Experience in Apache Parquet
- Proficient in AWS S3 and data lake
- Knowledge of Snowflake
- Understanding of file-based ingestion best practices
- Scripting languages: Python & PySpark
