AWS Cloud Architect

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Architecture Design: Design and implement highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable solutions on AWS, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
• Service Management: Configure, monitor, and manage AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, RDS, and CloudWatch, ensuring seamless and reliable operations.
• Automation & IaC: Automate infrastructure provisioning using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform, ensuring smooth deployments and minimal operational overhead.
• Cloud Migration Leadership: Lead migration efforts to AWS, planning and executing smooth transitions from on-premises or hybrid environments to the cloud.
• Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) using AWS IAM, KMS, and other security services.
• Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
• Documentation & Best Practices: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation on AWS architectures, processes, and best practices to ensure consistency across teams.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with development teams to design cloud-native applications and provide guidance on AWS-related matters. Mentor junior architects and team members.
• Innovation & Learning: Stay up-to-date with new AWS features and industry trends, recommending and implementing new technologies to improve solutions.
  
  
  

Qualifications and Skills:

• Overall 8 to 10 years of experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a cloud architecture role, with a strong focus on AWS.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification is mandatory.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing complex AWS solutions.
• Expertise in networking, security, and system administration concepts.
• Strong programming skills, preferably in Python, Java or similar languages.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  
  
  

Responsibilities

Bonus Points:

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools
• Understanding of DevOps principles
